Stellar Blade’s X Account Hacked to Promote Fake Crypto Airdrop
Cybercriminals hijacked the official X account of Stellar Blade, a gaming project, to promote a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme. The compromised account posted links to "stellarcoin.com"—a fake token masquerading as a game-themed asset—while disabling comments to evade scrutiny.
Creative director Hyung-Tae Kim confirmed the breach, urging followers to avoid interacting with suspicious airdrop claims. The attackers Leveraged existing fan art and NSFW imagery from the game’s history to lend credibility to the scam.
This incident highlights persistent security risks in crypto-related communities, where bad actors exploit high-profile platforms to siphon wallet keys from unsuspecting users. No legitimate coins or exchanges were involved in the fraudulent campaign.
